With each IOS Apple update, it quietly adds additional functions to the access category. These functions exist to give people and customers alternatives to how they interact and use their iPhone. When iOS 17 was declared, they added a new function called “Personal Voice”. This new feature seemed amazing; It was a way to teach your iPhone to speak and sound like you, literally. But now it was almost 2 years since its release. So how well does it work?
If you want to get a practical idea of some of these functions, be sure to catch our video here. The first 20 seconds of the video is the demonstration, how a personal voice sounds.
- settings and GT; Accessibility and GT; Personal voice (under the section of speech)
- click “Create a personal voice”
You need to postpone some time from here to do this. You will pass through a series of 150 short phrases. These will be just statements, questions and exclamations. The idea here is that your phone will hear you in several types of invaders and intonations. It will take about 15 minutes for the entire process. You can stop, but I would recommend not to do this, because it tends to contact the process. As soon as the phrases are completed, he will ask you to leave the phone blocked and charge your voice for processing. This should be ready for the next morning.
how does it work? In the same section of speech as personal settings of the voice, there is a division of lively speech. Click there and make sure that it is turned on. This is that which will actually gain access to it and use it if necessary.
As soon as this is turned on, you activate it with a triple button. This raises the menu with a variant of lively speech. Click on a live speech and you can start printing what you want your phone to say in your voice. Since this is an accessibility function, this user interface is on top of everything you do. While this is all, you can still interact with the main screen of the iPhone, which, I think, is amazing.
My thoughts
So, the question is for a million dollars: Does I sound? This is so, and this is not so. I strongly recommend watching our video to hear how a personal voice sounds. I would describe this if anyone had robotic my voice. The essence of my voice is, but it does not sound natural. There are some phrases and cases when they sound good, but 50% of cases, it sounds robotic, excesses are a little small, and the speech speed is strange. I would like you to have a setting that allows you to play at the speed of speech and, possibly, voice presentation, in order to reinforce.
It is good that this is clear, so you understand 100% what is said, and I think this is the main moment of this function. But it sounds like you on the way from 100%.
Final Take
, while we are still a little away from the voice, actually sounding like you, I like this even an option. Imagine if you were told that you will lose a voice; It would be a great way to keep him in some way. Or, if you are a singer, and you were told to stop your voice for a week, it may come in handy.
Apple also came out and said that a personal voice receives a big reconstruction, and iOS 26 is announced on June 9. We will return to this function to see if there are any significant improvements. Let me know with comment if you tried this function. Is this what you would use? Do you think it is creepy? Are there any other third -party solutions for this that you tried? Let me discuss below!
