The 13-inch iPad Air display is 20% brighter than the 11-inch iPad Air

The new 13-inch iPad Air has a maximum display brightness of 600 nits, which is 20% higher than the 11-inch iPad Air, according to Apple's specifications for those devices.

Peak brightness level (SDR) for the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air:

  • 13-inch iPad Pro (M4): 1000 nits
  • iPad Pro (M4) 11 inch: 1000 nits
  • iPad Pro 12.9 inch (M2): 600 nits
  • iPad Pro (M2) 11 inches: 600 nits
  • iPad Air 13 inches: 600 nits
  • iPad Air (M2) 11 inches:500 nits
  • iPad Air (M1) 10.9 inches:500 nits

The change in brightness of the 13-inch iPad Air was noticed by Saran, host of the YouTube technology channel SaranByte.

The new iPad Air models are available to order now and will launch on May 15th. Key new features include the M2 chip, front camera moved to the horizontal edge, Wi-Fi 6E support, Apple Pencil Pro support and new color options.
