T-Mobile Announces Price Increases on Some Old Plans

T-Mobile today announced that it will increase monthly prices on some of its older plans in the US by $2 to $5 per line.


Affected customers will receive a text message from T-Mobile if their plan receives a price increase, which will take effect next month. The affected plans appear to include certain T-Mobile ONE, Simple Choice and Magenta plans.

In its text message to customers, T-Mobile said it is changing prices for the first time on some of its plans. its monthly plans for “nearly a decade.”

“We are adjusting prices to respond to rising costs, but we are committed to offering low prices and the best value for money in postpaid wireless,” T-said Mobile. , in response to a customer request on social media X. “We're offering customers more for every dollar spent than ever before, especially since taxes and fees are included.”

In the alleged note, which shared with T-Mobile employees today said the carrier's “costs and inflation have risen over the last decade” but noted that after raising prices, the company still offers “the lowest prices compared to AT&T and Verizon.” T-Mobile also assured that customers of these older plans will retain all of their “benefits and privileges.”

T-Mobile did not immediately respond to our request for more information.
