Today there are new rumors that Apple will announce new products this week through press releases. This comes after Bloomberg reported this morning that Apple is not planning a special launch event for the oft-rumored new iPad Air, iPad Pro and MacBook Air.
Referring to “a verified source familiar with the issue” MacRumors reports that Apple “plans to announce new products via press releases on its website this week.” The report does not provide any specific details about what new products will be announced or on what days the announcements will be made.
In his Power On newsletter this morning, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said he expects Apple to release new iPad Pro, iPad Air and MacBook Air models “sometime in March or April.” #8221;
Gurman also said that Apple plans to release “a special version of iOS 17.4 with support for new hardware.” which will be released at the end of March. According to Apple, the initial version of iOS 17.4 will be released this week.
Apple may be announcing its new hardware this week, but won't actually release the devices until later this month along with a “special version of iOS 17.4.” ; Otherwise, the timing of what MacRumors and Gurman are reporting doesn't seem to quite line up. It's also possible that this week's announcements involve something like a new iPhone case and Apple Watch band colors.
