According to Haitong analyst Jeff Pu, Apple's first foldable devices will begin mass production in 2025 and 2026.

In a note to investors seen by MacRumors, Pu said foldable devices are becoming increasingly prominent in Apple's supply chain, with progress accelerates. The company is expected to release a larger-screen foldable iPad or MacBook to kick off its foray into the product category before releasing a larger foldable iPhone.

There will apparently be one Apple foldable with a 20.3-inch display . to begin production at the end of 2025, which is earlier than previously expected. This time frame is reportedly supported by information from Korean display makers, as well as American and Taiwanese hinge makers.

Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to be 7.9-inch or 8.3-inch display. The company could launch two foldable devices with these two display size options or choose just one display size option. Folding ‌iPhone‌ could create a new line of ultra-high-end smartphones for Apple. The device is currently scheduled for mass production in late 2026, a year after the 20.3-inch foldable device.
