Public beta for iPadOS 18.2, macOS 15.2 and more released with these new features

Apple just launched a new wave of public betas. The first public betas for iPadOS 18.2, macOS Sequoia 15.2, tvOS 18.2, and more are now available. And they're bringing a ton of exciting features to users. Here's what's new.

Everything New in the Public Betas

There's a lot to explore in the new public betas. The main highlight of the release is the second wave of Apple Intelligence features.

iPad and Mac users with compatible devices get the following AI additions:

  • ChatGPT is integrated with Siri and writing tools
  • Genmoji is available on iPad, but not yet on Mac
  • Another iPad exclusive is Image Wand, a note-taking feature designed for the Apple Pencil
  • Image Playground lets you create original images
  • Writing tools update that lets you request custom AI edits

This release also adds a localized English version for Apple Intelligence in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK.

But that's not all Apple Intelligence has to offer. These new betas include a few other nice updates:

  • tvOS 18.2 adds support for projector aspect ratios
  • Find My lets you share an item's location with others
  • macOS 15.2 adds a beautiful weather widget for the menu bar
  • A new settings section lets you customize the default apps for your device

Plus, there are a bunch of other design tweaks and little features.

The public beta program is open to everyone

Unlike Apple's developer betas, which require a download link developer account required, Apple is making its public betas available to everyone.

There is no cost to get early access to future features, all you have to do is sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program.

Once signed up, you can enroll your devices and download and install the new public betas for iPadOS 18.2 and later.
