Update, 7:51 pm ET: Apple has updated its system status web page, reporting that Apple Music, the App Store, and several other platforms are also experiencing outages.
If you're having trouble accessing the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, you're not alone. Based on complaints from affected users on social media, the App Store has experienced an outage.
According to data collected by Downdetector, the number of App Store complaints has started to rise around 18 :30 Eastern Time. Social media users are reporting problems with downloading new applications, as well as updating existing applications.
App Store Connect, Apple's platform that developers rely on to manage their apps, also appears to be broken for many users right now.
At this time, Apple has not updated its system status website to confirm this outage. It is not immediately clear how widespread the problems are. We'll update this story if Apple shares more details.
