iPadOS 18.0.1 Now Available With Key Fix for M4 iPad Pros

Apple today released iPadOS 18.0.1 for all compatible iPads. Most importantly, the update includes a fix that brings iPadOS 18 back to M4 iPad Pro users after Apple pulled the update more than two weeks ago.

The 18.0.1 update brings bug fixes and support for the M4 iPad Pro

iPadOS 18.0.1 is available to all users of a supported iPad model. This includes:

  • M4 iPad Pro
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation and later)
  • 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation and later)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
  • iPad (7th generation and later)
  • iPad mini (5th generation and later)

You can find and download iPadOS 18.0.1 by opening the Settings app on your iPad, then going to General ⇾ Software Update.

You can download 18.0.1 whether you previously installed iPadOS 18.0 or were unable to do so after Apple pulled the update and are still using iPadOS 17.

There is nothing new expected in this release. However, as with most small updates, Apple is introducing key bug fixes in today's 18.0.1. Here are the full release notes:
