According to Macworld, iOS 17.4 brings support for 15W wireless charging with Qi2 on the iPhone 12.

Citing reader reports and its own tests, Macworld says the iPhone 12 is capable of charging at 15W using a Qi2 wireless charger after updating to iOS 17.4. When using a Qi2 charger, the device now displays an animation that only appears when actively charging at 15W, and tests with the Anker Qi2 MagGo wireless charger demonstrated charging speeds consistent with MagSafe.
Apple has openly stated that iOS 17.2 brings Qi2 support to iPhone 13 and iPhone 14, but no such statements regarding iOS 17.4 and iPhone did not have. 12. This may be due to the fact that iPhone Wireless charging technology 12 was based on the original Qi standard and MagSafe before Qi2 was completed.
