Following the launch of the iPad mini 7 yesterday, Apple has also made a few changes to the cheapest iPad in the range in a number of European countries.
There is no longer a charger in the box, just a USB-C cable, and this has been offset by a price cut …
In the UK, for example, the price has been cut from £349 to £329. The cheapest charger Apple sells for the iPad is the 20W USB-C power adapter, priced at £19, meaning it is effectively price-neutral. (You're £1 better off.)
In France and a few other eurozone countries, the price has been cut by €30, from €439 to €409, and the 20W charging adapter costs €25, so you're saving €5.
Interestingly, MacRumors notes that the company hasn't done the same in the US, where the charger remains in the box and the price remains the same.
