Delta Game emulator is now available in the App Store on iPhone

By Julie Clover

Game emulator apps have come and gone since Apple announced support for them in the App Store on April 5, but now developer Riley Testut's popular gaming emulator Delta is available for download.

Testut is known as the developer of GBA4iOS, an open source emulator that was available for a short time over a decade ago . GBA4iOS led to the creation of Delta, an emulator that was available outside of the App Store but is now approved by Apple.

Delta is a universal emulator that supports gaming systems including NES, SNES, N64. , Nintendo DS, Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. It works with popular game controllers and supports cheats, save states, backups, syncing, and more. Since this is a long-standing Testut project, it is more advanced and feature-rich than other emulators that have emerged.

Other features include custom controller skins, fast forward capability, a “hold” button for games that require the button at all times hold, there is Haptic Touch support and corresponding box art for imported games. Local multiplayer games are available for up to four players.

Earlier this week, Apple approved iGBA, a direct copy of the original Testut GBA4iOS app. iGBA topped the ‌App Store‌ accusations, but Apple recalled it after learning it was fake.

Delta can be downloaded from the ‌App Store‌ Free, does not collect information and does not include advertising. The app is available in the US and other countries, but is not available in the European Union, where it is instead offered through an alternative app marketplace. [Direct link]
