Apple today announced that Billie Eilish has been named Apple Music’s 2024 Artist of the Year for her “exceptional impact” throughout the year.

Eilish receives a physical Apple Music Award, a custom 12-inch silicon wafer.

“Apple Music has supported my music and creativity since day one, and I’m honored and privileged to be recognized as Artist of the Year this many years into my career,” Eilish said. Apple featured Eilish’s music in a 2018 holiday ad when she was just 16 years old, and Apple TV+ released a documentary about her in 2021.

Eilish released her third full-length studio album this year, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, and Apple describes it as “the best music of her career.” The album peaked at No. 1 on Apple Music’s all-genre album chart in 138 countries.

Additionally, her Barbie soundtrack, “What Was I Made For?” won Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards this year.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter was also named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year in 2019, making her the first artist to win the award twice.
