Apple today announced that its expanded return policy is now extended through the 2024 holiday shopping season. The policy applies to most products Apple sells, but there are a few exceptions, including carrier-financed iPhones.
In the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, and many other countries, most products purchased between Nov. 8 and Dec. 25 of this year can be returned until Jan. 8, 2025, according to Apple's website. All purchases made after December 25 in these countries are covered by Apple's standard 14-day return policy.
If you placed an order through Apple's online store, the extended return policy applies to eligible products you received between November 8 and December 25. That means anyone who pre-ordered a new Mac mini, iMac, or MacBook Pro can return those computers until January 8 if they want to.
Some countries, like Italy, Spain, Japan, and Mexico, have a slightly longer return window. Apple says most products purchased in these countries between November 8 and January 6 can be returned until January 20.
Apple has also updated its Shop page with holiday gift recommendations.
