Apple 'Seriously Considering' Vision Device That Will Bring Computing to Your iPhone

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is “seriously considering” developing a cheaper Apple Vision device that would put all the processing power on your iPhone, essentially building a headset with the main displays and battery.

Gurman has mentioned this idea in the past, but it was just one of many ideas Apple was considering for future Apple Vision products, but it looks like the idea may have more legs now.

This product will be similar to other products on the market, like the Xreal glasses, which show content from your iPhone through the glasses’ displays.

Earlier this morning, Ming Chi-Kuo reported that Apple’s cheaper Vision headset has been delayed until 2027, so it’s possible that this “Vision as an iPhone accessory” product could replace it. Gurman says the product will “solidify the iPhone as the center of [Apple’s] product ecosystem.”

This product will also likely be much more affordable than Apple’s Vision Pro, and given how much overhead our iPhone’s A18 chips have, it could prove quite useful in the not-too-distant future.
