new ‌ visionOS‌ The update can be installed by opening the settings app and going to the software update section.

With ‌visionOS‌ In version 1.0.3, Apple added the ability to reset the Vision Pro headset if the password set on the device was forgotten. It also includes fixes for unspecified bugs. Apple Release Notes:

This update contains important bug fixes and adds the ability to reset your device if you forgot your password.

Vision Pro was launched without ability to reset the device without first unlocking it with a passcode, so those who ended up forgetting their passwords had to go to an Apple retail store to reset it. Thanks to the update, if the password is rejected a certain number of times, users will have the option to erase the Vision Pro.

Please note that erasing the Vision Pro does not remove the activation lock, so the person who stole the headset and used this feature to erase it , still couldn’t sign in with their Apple ID.
