Apple today released the second beta version of the upcoming macOS Sonoma 14.5 update to public beta testers, allowing non-developers to test the software before launch. The public beta will be released two weeks after Apple released the first public beta.
Beta testers can register in the Software Update section of the System Settings app . In the Beta Updates section, simply enable the Sonoma public beta. Please note that you must register to participate on Apple's beta website.
In macOS Sonoma no new features were discovered. There are currently developer betas of 14.5, and Apple hasn't indicated any additions in its release notes. It's likely that the update focuses on bug fixes and other small internal improvements.
