Apple Releases New AirPods Pro 2 Beta Firmware

By Julie Clover

Apple today released a new beta firmware update for the AirPods Pro 2, with the software available for both the Lightning and USB-C versions of the AirPods Pro. The firmware has a build number of 7B5013d, not 7B5013c, and because it's a beta, it's currently only available to developers.

It's not clear at this point what's included in the firmware update, but Apple plans to bring hearing aid and hearing test features to the AirPods Pro 2 later this year.

While the current firmware is currently only available to developers, it will be released to all AirPods Pro 2 users in the future.
