Apple Releases macOS Sequoia 15.1 Beta 7 to Developers [Updated]

Julie Clover

Apple today released the seventh beta of the upcoming macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta to developers, with the new update coming a week after Apple released the sixth beta.

Registered developers can sign up for the macOS Sequoia beta via the Software Update section of System Preferences. An Apple ID associated with an Apple developer account is required to receive the beta.

macOS Sequoia‌ 15.1 introduces the first Apple Intelligence features, adding support for Writing Tools, new Siri features, Smart Replies in Mail and Messages, Priority messages in the Mail app, Memory Movie and Clean Up in Photos, and more.

The update does not include Image Playground, Genmoji, or the more advanced Siri features.

Apple Intelligence features require a Mac with an Apple silicon chip.

Update: There appears to be an issue with Apple's servers at this time, and users may experience errors when updating and restoring Apple devices. Retrying works for some, but you may want to wait until the servers are fixed to download the update.
