Apple releases fourth betas of iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 to developers [Update: Public beta now available]

Apple today made the fourth beta versions of the upcoming iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 updates available to developers for testing purposes. This software will appear a week after Apple released the third beta versions.


Registered developers can participate in the beta by opening the Settings app, going to Software Update, and tapping Beta. “Updates” and switch to the developer beta for iOS 17 or iPadOS 17. The Apple ID associated with your developer account is required to download and install the beta.

Most of Apple's promised features will come to ‌iOS 17‌ have already been released, but iOS 17.5 adds additional changes to the app ecosystem in the European Union. App developers can offer apps for download on iPhone directly from their websites, as well as through app stores.
