Apple today releases its first sports film shot in Immersive Video, giving Apple Vision Pro users immersive 180-degree 3D video high quality with Spatial Audio.
The short film features highlights from the 2023 Major League Soccer Cup playoffs. Apple Vision Pro owners can watch the film for free in the TV app starting today at 6:00 pm PT.
It features the reigning champions. about the Cup, the Columbus Crew and LAFC players, with commentary from MLS Season Pass broadcasters Taylor Twellman and Jake Zivin.
The film complements other immersive video content available in the app, such as “The Adventure.” 8217; and “Wildlife” documentaries.
Including the new MLS movie, a total of five pieces of immersive video content are now available to Apple Vision Pro customers. Each one is also very short. We have yet to see a full-scale Immersive Video content pipeline in action. Hopefully Apple is working on this to eventually release full series and movies in this format.
Apple Vision Pro launched in February exclusively in the US. It is expected to go on sale in other countries later this year.
