Apple began selling refurbished 14-inch MacBook Pro M3

by Julie Clover

Apple today began offering upgraded versions of the 14-inch M3-powered MacBook Pro, offering the machines at a discount for the first time since their launch in October 2023.

Refurbished 14-inch MacBook Pro models start at $1,359, a $240 discount from the original starting price of $1,599.

It appears that for now Apple is only offering MacBook Pro models with the standard M3 chip, and there are no M3 Pro or M3 Max machines available for purchase. Apple has several configurations with extra storage.

Some entry-level models are already sold out, and availability will fluctuate as Apple restocks the refurbished store. Customers looking for a specific configuration should check back often.

All refurbished Apple Macs are virtually identical to new products. They are subject to a refurbishment process that includes a full functionality test with replacement of all defective modules, as well as thorough cleaning and inspection. Refurbished products are eligible for AppleCare+ and have the same 14-day return period as new Apple devices.
