Airbenders is Apple TV+'s most popular launch to date

In its opening weekend, Apple TV+'s “Busters of the Air” brought in more viewers than any other ‌Apple TV+‌ the show was in its first season, Apple told Variety.


Apple did not provide details on the exact number viewers, but the show overtook the popular ‌Apple TV+‌ offerings such as The Morning Show and Severance. “Masters of the Air” tells the story of the 100th Bomb Group, which carried out dangerous air raids against Nazi Germany.

Since the premiere of “Masters of the Air,” viewership on ‌Apple TV+‌ growth was 65 percent worldwide compared to the previous seven-day period, plus Apple maintained double-digit growth in more than 100 countries.

Masters of the Air is a highly anticipated show created as a companion series to Band of Brothers and The Pacific, both were popular at the time of their debut, so they had their own audience. The show is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who also worked on previous shows.

Masters of the Air debuted on January 26, with episodes airing weekly. The finale will air on Friday, March 15.
