Apple system features like Siri and Spotlight Search will get new artificial intelligence features that work in apps like Messages, Mail and Safari, AppleInsider reports.
Safari will apparently get a text summarization tool called Intelligent Browsing, which will allow users to create a quick overview of any web page , and Siri may get a similar feature that works in the Messages app. Apple's artificial intelligence technology can apparently analyze the content of messages and generate responses. Spotlight search will be improved with smarter results and improved sorting, and will also work with apps like Contacts and Calendar to generate answers.
Importantly, Apple's artificial intelligence tools will work on a device with the ability to generate responses without any cloud. -processing to maximize privacy and minimize delays. More complex answers and summaries seem to require server-side processing. Apple is expected to unveil a suite of artificial intelligence features when it previews major updates to its operating systems at WWDC in June.
