in the iOS 26 Beta 2 Apple updated the location of the new tab in Safari, fixing the disappointing change that was made in the first & zwnj; iOS 26 & zwnj; Beta. Release three viewing parameters for the tabs panel, and it changed the appearance of the interface to control all open tabs. The tab has significantly changed the placement of the buttons, including the “+” button for the new tab. There was no logical reason for the “+” button to go to the upper part of the screen, and to & zwnj; iOS 26 & zwnj; Beta 2, Apple moved it back to the lower part of the application. Beta 2 is now similar to the tabs control interface in & zwnj; iOS 18 & zwnj;. The new option is located on the left, where it has always been, and although it is now “made” a tick, it is still on the right. The parameters for managing groups of tabs, the selection of tabs and copying links remain in the upper left corner.
& zwnj; iOS 26 & zwnj; Beta 2 makes another small change in Safari for those who prefer to use the new “compact” representation of Safari Tab. Using a compact setup, if you click on the button in the background, the button is now divided into the forward button and the back button to facilitate navigation. There was no forward button before.
the upper and lower layouts did not change and always had both buttons and buttons forward.
