Here is a small-awaited update of life, which comes to messages in iOS 26: you finally can copy only part of the message, and not in all of it. ID = “MORE-1006212″>
Small but Long another improvement
Imessage on iPhone meant IMessage Grab all the bubble message. There was no way to highlight or extract only a specific section, as you can on Mac.
Of course, there were workarounds. I used to drag a full message in the Compose field to manually choose what I need. Others will take a screenshot and used OCR tools to pull out the right fragment.
with iOS 26, it changes. To use it, a long press in the message, then click “Select” from a pop -up menu. From there you can highlight exactly what you want, then choose a copy, search or translation. A small but welcome improvement, especially for longer messages with several lists or detailed instructions in which you only need to take a certain part.
