Apple Designing Chips for smart glasses that compete

Julie Clover

Apple is working on new chips, which are designed for smart glasses that will compete with META rays, Bloomberg reports. The chip is now in development, with Apple, aimed at mass production in 2026 or 2027 for launching over the next two years or so. Opportunities, but equipped with the camera and functionality of AI. Apple is considering a competitor, at least during the year and, apparently, decided to move forward with the development. Apple can also integrate the function of visual intelligence for scanning the environment and describing objects, finding information about products and providing directions. Several cameras will be included in glasses, so they can also potentially record spatial videos. These SOCs use less energy than the chips in devices such as the iPhone, and Apple has already optimized it to increase power efficiency.
