Apple tests the iOS 18.5 update with developers and public beta testers, and we had three beta versions. There are still no noticeable changes, but the update will still bring important corrections of errors and improving safety. So, when can we expect this? Here's when we saw updates in previous years:
- iOS 17.5 – May 13
- iOS 16.5 – May 18
- 15.5 – May 16
- iOS 14.5 – April. 13.5 – May 20

Many of the Apple X.5 updates were released in the middle of the month, so the week of May 12 is a firm assumption, although the week of May 19 is also an opportunity.
Apple X.5 has historically had less functions than in earlier issues, because Apple often already switches to most of its new development into the next generation iOS version. We are just a few months when iOS 19 will be presented in WWDC, so Apple works to prepare it for work. It will roll out this fall.
