Elevation Lab just unveiled a new add-on accessory for Apple's AirTag.

The accessory is called TimeCapsule, and it's designed to eliminate AirTag battery worries.

How? It gives your AirTag a whopping 10-year battery life.

Here's the origin story:

I had a camera bag with $10,000 worth of gear stolen from my car. When I saw the broken window and empty backseat, I immediately launched FindMy to track the thief, only to discover that his last location was my office 3 months ago… because I hadn't changed the AirTag battery.

It was a terrible feeling on top of the worst.

That’s why we designed the TimeCapsule – it gives you a whopping decade of power, so you don’t have to remember to replace the battery every year. This is especially handy for people like us who have a lot of AirTags to manage.

You place your AirTag inside the TimeCapsule along with a couple of AA batteries (Energizer Ultimate Lithium is recommended), and your AirTag will last for the next decade.

Elevation Lab seems to have gone to great lengths to create a product that lasts. The TimeCapsule is completely waterproof and fits discreetly into your luggage or wherever you keep your AirTags.

The only downside is the extra bulk it adds, so it might not be suitable for certain small items you want to keep track of.

This is great, I'll definitely be buying one. Seems so obvious, but this is the first time we've seen something like this (to my knowledge). Perfect for situations where the extra bulk isn't important, like luggage or a car. Hopefully they get a lot of orders before they get a rush of copycats.
