New Apple TV+ Movie to Star John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and a Powerful Indiana Jones

Apple TV+'s 2025 lineup is starting to get more and more relevant, with the latest project to be revealed being an Indiana Jones film starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman. Here are the details on 'The Fountain of Youth.'

'Fountain of Youth' coming to Apple TV+ from director Guy Ritchie

Earlier this year, it was announced that Apple Original Films has landed the next big movie from director Guy Ritchie.

It's called The Fountain of Youth, and it stars John Krasinski and Natalie Portman.

Now, thanks to a preview from Entertainment Weekly, we're getting more details about the upcoming Apple TV+ movie.

Director Ritchie told ET that the film is “Indiana Jones-ish, but modern.” The two stars play estranged siblings “who team up for a worldwide heist to find a mythical source.”

“They both have a background in archaeology, in terms of finding archaeological artifacts, so they have their own history,” Ritchie notes. “They’re estranged, but they have an alibi for why they need to team up to find this particular treasure.”

So yeah, it’s very, very much like an Indiana Jones movie.

It looks like one of those, as the first public images of Fountain of Youth suggest.

Release Strategy for Fountain of Youth Unknown

Apple has not yet announced a release date for the film or details on a theatrical strategy.

However, don’t be surprised if Fountain of Youth goes straight to streaming, debuting on Apple TV+, like Wolfs and Blitz did recently, with Rift set to debut in early 2025.

It was recently reported that Apple would be changing its strategy for movies to minimize theatrical releases. The only big exception we know of right now is the upcoming Formula One movie starring Brad Pitt, which will get a big push into theaters from Apple.
