Apple is ready to help you start 2025 off right. A new Apple Watch Activity Challenge has been set for January, encouraging you to “Welcome the New Year” by closing all three rings for seven days in a row.
The “Welcome the New Year” Challenge runs from January 7 to January 31. Apple says:
Take the New Year’s Challenge: Let’s Start 2025 Off Right. Earn this reward by closing all three rings for seven days in a row in January.
The purpose of Apple Watch Activity Challenges is to promote the fitness experience of the watch and serve as a way for Apple to direct users to use its workout tracking features. Apple has been running this New Year’s challenge most years since 2016.
If you successfully complete the challenge with any workout app that records data in the Apple Fitness app, you’ll unlock a virtual achievement on your iPhone, Apple Watch, and in the Apple Messages app. You’ll also get access to exclusive stickers that you can use in the Messages app, FaceTime, and other apps.
You can also complete the challenge using Apple Fitness+, Apple’s own workout service that offers a variety of different content categories.
