watchOS 11.2 Now Available for Apple Watch Users with Updated Camera Remote App

Along with the release of iOS 18.2 to the general public, Apple is also releasing watchOS 11.2 to Apple Watch users today. Unlike iOS 18.2, which added new Apple Intelligence features, watchOS 11.2 is not quite a major update, but it does add a new feature to the Camera Remote app.

What's new in watchOS 11.2

There's not much to say about watchOS 11.2, other than that the update contains bug fixes and general improvements. However, those who use the Camera Remote app on their Apple Watch to control their iPhone’s camera will notice a new feature. Namely, the app now allows users to pause video while recording. The same option was added for iPhone users with iOS 18.0 in September.

In addition to this improvement, Apple Watch users in China can now check tidal conditions on the new Tides watch, which was added with watchOS 11.

You can update your Apple Watch by going to Settings > General > Software Update. It’s worth noting that your Apple Watch must be charged to at least 50% and connected to a charger to install watchOS updates.
