One of Apple TV+’s biggest hits returns today for a second season: the sci-fi series Shaft, based on the book series by Hugh Howey.
Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliet, an engineer who seeks to escape the underground mine everyone lives in. After the explosive finale of season one, season two begins by expanding the world as Juliet explores it from the outside.
With Ferguson back, season two brings back most of the original cast, along with new additions like Steve Zahn. As Juliet expands the world, tensions rise at the original silo as residents wonder what happened to her.
When the series debuted last year, it became Apple's most-watched series on streaming. It was also a critical success, with a Rotten Tomatoes score that was firmly in the nineties. Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, Silo has been renewed for a third season, with filming apparently already underway. Ferguson previously suggested the show would tell its story over four seasons.
