Apple Now Selling Solo Knit Strap Upper for Apple Vision Pro

Originally spotted by Brad Lynch on X, Apple recently put a new Belkin Head Strap for the Apple Vision Pro up for sale that looks very similar (though not exactly identical) to the strap they unveiled back at WWDC23. It works in addition to the Solo Knit strap.

Update November 3: Now available for purchase, with shipping starting November 6. Original post below:

The new Belkin Head Strap for the Apple Vision Pro will be available for $49.95, though it is not currently available for purchase.

The new product is described as follows:

Enhance your Apple Vision Pro experience with an ergonomic and adjustable headband that provides superior comfort and stability. Designed with an aesthetic that perfectly complements the Solo Knit headband, the headband features a secure locking mechanism and additional stabilization points to keep the Apple Vision Pro in place even during vigorous movement.

As mentioned earlier, Apple introduced a product very similar to this back at WWDC23 when the Apple Vision Pro was initially unveiled, although it never shipped. Instead, they decided to release a cheaper Dual Loop model that included a top strap but didn’t include the same mesh fabric as the Solo Knit band.

Around $50 seems like a fair price for this accessory, as many users appreciated the comfort of the Solo Knit band but wanted support on top of their head. Now, you could theoretically get the best of both worlds. It would have been nice if it had been included.
