All the M4 Mac highlights from Apple's big announcements

Apple had a big week for Mac announcements, unveiling new M4 MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini models, as well as new M4 Pro and M4 Max chips — all of which go on sale next Friday, November 8. macOS Sequoia 15.1 with Apple Intelligence also debuted. Here are all the highlights from Apple's big announcements.

MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini

  • 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro: M4 Pro and Max, Thunderbolt 5, improved battery, camera, and more.
  • Entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro: 16GB of RAM, new camera, improved battery, and more.
  • iMac: New colors, M4 chip, USB-C accessories, improved camera, and more.
  • Mac mini: tiny but mighty. M4 or M4 Pro, 16GB of RAM, 5 USB-C ports, and more.

Notable Features and Details:

  • Center Stage Camera: MacBook Pro and iMac get a new 12-megapixel Center Stage Camera.
  • Nano Texture Option: iMac and MacBook Pro also have a Nano Texture Display option.
  • A New Battery Life Record: The M4 MacBook Pro comes with the longest battery life of any Mac.
  • Thunderbolt 5 Debuts: The M4 Pro and M4 Max support Thunderbolt 5 for faster data transfer rates and greater bandwidth.
  • The Mac mini is only 5×5 inches: It’s not as small as the Apple TV, but it’s close.
  • The First Zero-Carbon Mac: The tiny new Mac mini is the first zero-carbon Mac.
