If you're having trouble accessing your meta services, you're not alone. It appears that both Instagram and Facebook are experiencing widespread outages. The outage has also affected Threads.
When you go to Instagram's website, you're currently seeing the error message: Sorry, something went wrong. We're working to fix this as soon as possible.
Facebook and Instagram Outages
According to outage aggregator Downdetector, complaints about Instagram and Facebook outages began pouring in shortly after 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. The number of reports continues to grow as time goes on. A quick search of other social media platforms shows more users reporting Facebook and Instagram outages.
It’s unclear how widespread the Instagram, Facebook, and Threads outages are. For some people, the services eventually load — just much more slowly than usual. However, other people can’t access any of Meta’s services at all.
Meta has not commented on the Facebook, Threads, or Instagram outages. We'll update this post as soon as we know more information…
