Apple today announced an update to its Apple Business Connect feature that will allow any verified business to create consistent branding and location across apps, including Maps, Wallet, Phone, and Mail.
Using Business Connect, businesses can sign up to display their brand in the Phone app when calling an iPhone user, or in the Mail app to make incoming email more recognizable. Businesses can sign up for Branded Mail today, and logos will appear to customers later this year with the release of iOS 18.2.
In 2025, businesses will be able to use Business Caller ID, which will show their name, logo, and department on the incoming call screen.
Businesses now also have the option to display their logo in Tap to Pay on iPhone, instead of a category icon. Apple says the change will help customers verify they are paying a verified business.
Businesses have been able to claim and manage their location cards for Maps using Business Connect, but Business Connect is now also available to businesses that provide services or operate online without a physical location.
More information about signing up for Business Connect can be found on Apple's website.
