In iOS 18, the Apple Wallet app gained support for a rich version of event tickets that provide more details and useful information about the event. With iOS 18 now available to the public, Ticketmaster announced Thursday that it will soon begin supporting richer tickets in Apple Wallet.
Ticketmaster to support new Apple Wallet tickets in iOS 18
The company said in a blog post that “Ticketmaster is the first ticketing company to roll out a new, improved ticket-buying experience in Apple Wallet.”
With the update, users will see important information on their tickets, such as a venue map, parking details, recommended Apple Music playlists, the weather forecast for the day of the event, and an easy way to share your current location with friends during events.
Ticketmaster worked closely with Apple on this new experience for iOS 18 users. “With the new, improved ticketing experience in Apple Wallet, fans are closer to the action from the moment they add their pass to their iPhone,” said Mark Yovich, president of Ticketmaster. “We’re extremely proud to partner with Apple to bring fans this improved ticketing experience.”
The new experience will debut later this month at the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) home game at BMO Stadium on Saturday, October 19. iPhone users with iOS 18.0 or later who add their ticket to Apple Wallet through the Ticketmaster or LAFC apps will see new, richer tickets.
Ticketmaster says this experience will soon be available for Miami HEAT tickets, too, with more events supported in 2025.
