iCloud․com Adds Dark Mode Support, Photos App Changes, and More

Today, Apple is rolling out a design update to iCloud.com. The update includes support for Dark Mode, more customization options, changes to iCloud Photos, and more. Read on for all the details.

For those unfamiliar, Apple's iCloud website allows users to access their content from anywhere in the world. This includes iCloud Photos, iCloud Drive, Notes, Reminders, Find My, and more.

Today's iCloud.com update includes several notable design changes, as well as new features:

  • Dark Mode: iCloud.com will automatically match your device settings to the Light Mode or Dark Mode color scheme.
  • Customize your background: Choose from a variety of colors on the home page.
    • To choose a new background, scroll to the bottom of the home page, then click Customize Home.
  • Calendar support and updated design: Hijri calendar support and updated design throughout the app.
  • iCloud Drive overview: View files shared with you in the “Overview” tab.
  • iCloud Photos:
    • Faster navigation: Quickly jump to a month or year in your library by clicking the calendar icon.
    • Adjust the date, time, or location: Change the date, time, and location of your photos in the dashboard.
    • New tile options: You can now display an album in the Photos tile on the home page.
  • Pinned notes: Pin important notes to the top of your list for easy access. Control-click on a Mac or right-click to customize pinned notes. You can also choose to display pinned notes or pin new notes directly to the Notes tile on your home page.
