iOS 18.1 beta 6 adds four new toggles to Control Center

When iOS 18.1 launches later this month, it will offer expanded Control Center customization options. We've seen new controls added in previous betas, and today's beta 6 continues that trend, offering a total of four new toggles.

AirDrop and Satellite Complete the Connectivity Lineup

Two weeks ago, Apple released iOS 18.1 beta 5 and brought with it new Control Center updates.

In addition to the new ability to reset Control Center to factory defaults, Apple also added new standalone connectivity toggles.

At the time, the only connection controls that couldn't be added yet were AirDrop and Satellite.

But today's beta 6 fixes that. Now each type of connection control is available as a separate toggle.

Here's the full list of offline connection options for Control Center in iOS 18.1:

  • AirDrop
  • Airplane Mode
  • Bluetooth
  • Cellular Data
  • Personal Hotspot
  • Satellite
  • VPN
  • Wi-Fi

These join the existing larger connection toggle with three large controls and a fourth button that opens an additional control panel.

Measurement controls added to beta 6

Two other new toggles in today's beta include the app measurements feature.

There's a control called Measure and a control called Level.

Each control offers a shortcut to opening the Measure app and using the named tool.

Since Control Center toggles can now also be linked to the iPhone's lock screen or its action button, it's great to see Apple continue to add new controls. These expanded options give you more flexibility not only for creating your own Control Center, but for customizing other iPhone controls as well.

Which connection controls do you use most often? Will you be using the new Measure tools? Let us know in the comments.
