In a social media post today, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple would be donating an undisclosed amount to Hurricane Milton relief efforts.
“Our condolences go out to everyone affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Milton,” Cook said. “For anyone still in danger, please stay safe. Apple will be making a donation to help with local relief efforts.”
Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, on Wednesday evening. The storm and the multiple tornadoes it spawned caused catastrophic damage, flooding, and deaths across Florida.
In the past, Apple has made donations to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.
