Julie Clover

Apple today released a new update to Safari Technology Preview, the experimental browser first introduced in March 2016. Apple developed Safari Technology Preview to allow users to test features planned for future versions of Safari.

Safari Technology Preview‌ 205 includes fixes and updates to CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Block Mode, SVG, Tables, Text, Web API, Web Driver, Web Extensions, and WebAssembly.

The current Safari Technology Preview release is compatible with machines running macOS Sonoma and macOS Sequoia, the latest version of macOS.

The Safari Technology Preview update is available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences or System Preferences to anyone who downloaded the browser from Apple. Full release notes are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.

Apple's goal with Safari Technology Preview is to gather feedback from developers and users on the browser's development process. ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ can run alongside the existing Safari browser, and while it's designed for developers, you don't need a developer account to download and use it.
