Canal+ subscribers can now watch Apple TV+ for free in the Apple TV app.

A little over a year ago, Apple announced a landmark agreement with French cable TV provider Canal+ that included Apple TV+ content in a package without any costs. extra charge. At the time, free movies and shows could be accessed through the Canal app.

Fast forward a year, and now Apple and Canal have expanded their partnership even further. You can now link your Apple ID to your Canal+ subscription and unlock the Apple TV+ channel from within the Apple TV app.

This means users can use everything the usual Apple ecosystem features as if they paid for Apple TV+ separately, except they're included for free with their Canal+ membership.

Instead of accessing shows and movies in the separate myCANAL app, subscribers can now access content for free in the Apple TV app with features such as a shared Up Next queue, Siri control, and other integrations.

So, if you have a Canal+ account, you can use this link to link your subscription to your Apple ID account. You can then open the TV app and search for the TV+ channel. If you've already signed up for TV+ on that Apple account, the account linking process will automatically adjust your payment for you so you don't have to pay twice.
