Gamma is a free PlayStation emulator available on the iOS App Store.

After changes to the App Store rules last month, developers were finally able to release gaming emulators for iOS, such as the popular Delta. And now joining that list is Gamma, a new PlayStation emulator available in the iOS App Store for iPhone and iPad.

PlayStation Emulator ‘Gamma’ now available for iOS

Gamma was developed by ZodTTD, a company known for creating a variety of tweaks and apps (including emulators) for jailbroken iPhones. For example, even Delta developer Riley Testut praised ZodTTD and said that he had already used one of the ZodTTD emulators as the basis for the first version of GBA4iOS.

As for the new emulator, it’ Only compatible with PlayStation 1 games, so don't even try to play games on newer consoles like PS2 and PS3. At least now you can play classic and iconic games like Gran Turismo and Crash Bandicoot straight from your iPhone and iPad by simply downloading the app.

With Gamma, players can save and load the game anywhere moment, and also synchronize progress with a cloud service. The emulator also supports MFi game controllers and special skins for those who use touch controls. I tried it on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro M2, and the emulator works fine in most games, although I did notice some audio glitches.

Of course, Gamma doesn't work&# 8217;Not included games, so you are responsible for obtaining ROMs of the games you want to play.

Gamma is available for free on the App Store and requires an iPhone or iPad running iOS 15 or later.
