There are already rumors about the next generation iPad Air with an M3 chip

Apple's next iPad Air will use an M3 processor, according to details posted today on X by a private account with a proven track record of sharing accurate information about Apple's plans.


Last week, Apple announced its latest ‌iPad Air‌ models based on the M2 chip. Two new 11-inch and 13-inch models replace the previous 10.9-inch M1-powered iPad Air released in 2022. Apple also just announced new iPad Pro M4 models, which until recently were supposed to come with the M3. chip.

Combined with the surprise debut of the Apple M4, today's rumors suggest that Apple plans to keep the ‌iPad Air‌ one step behind ‌iPad Pro‌ by processor generation. Given the recent announcements, it's still very early to talk about the next generation of the iPad Air, but there are rumors that Apple is planning to introduce a 10.8-inch OLED iPad Air and that the tablet could arrive between 2026 and 2028.
