WhatsApp is getting a redesign on iPhone and Android, the first interface change of its kind since 2021.
The new design of the Meta-owned social media platform should be fresh, accessible and simple, WhatsApp says.
Whatsapp says that sending photos is allowed. and video on iOS is now easier with a new attachment layout. Instead of a full-screen menu, there's an expandable panel to access features when sending media, documents, surveys, and more.
Icons have been updated to a rounded, outline style, and new illustrations have been added with added animations for a “more playful” aesthetic.

There's also a new a “consistent” green color palette across the app, as well as a new dark mode that's one shade darker, aimed at reducing eye strain in low-light conditions.
The new changes are already rolling out. WhatsApp users on iPhone and Android now, according to the company.
