Apple today officially unveiled the future of its iPad product category with the introduction of the new iPad Air and iPad Pro lines. Writing on The Verge, David Pierce says:
After you have held the device and played with it for a few minutes I can confidently say that Apple isn't kidding about how much slimmer the new model is. At 5.3mm thick for the 11-inch model and 5.1mm thick for the 13-inch model, the new iPad is noticeably thinner and lighter than anything the company has released before. The difference is so great that the larger model, which I always thought was ridiculously huge, is much more comfortable to hold and use.
