Apple Introduces Logic Pro 2 with New AI Features

In addition to the new iPad Pro models announced today, Apple introduced updated versions of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro. Updated Logic Pro 2 software is smarter than ever, delivering new capabilities for songwriting, beatmaking, production and mixing.


Logic Pro has new AI-powered studio assistant features to help artists create music. Session players expand the capabilities of Logic Pro's Drummer, and Apple is adding a new bass player and keyboard player, as well as a Stem Splitter for extracting work from individual parts of a single audio recording.

Stem Splitter is designed to allow artists to separating a mixed sound into separate parts: drums, bass, vocals and other instruments. Splitting tracks makes it easy to apply effects, add new parts, and change the mix.

“Logic Pro gives creatives everything they need to write, produce, and mix a great song, and our latest features take that creativity to a whole new level “said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple's Senior Director of Worldwide Apps Product Marketing. “The new AI-powered updates to Logic Pro, combined with the unparalleled performance of iPad, Mac, and Apple M Series processors, provide creative professionals with the industry's best music creation experience.” .

With the new ChromaGlow feature, users can customize the perfect tone and choose from five different saturation styles to add ultra-realistic warmth, presence and energy to tracks.

Logic Pro is available for new iPad and Mac models, scheduled for release on May 13. Software free for existing users and $200 for new users.
