How to install the iOS 17.5 beta to see the latest changes and features

Want an early look at the latest iOS features? The iOS 17.5 beta is available for free and includes some design changes, potential anti-harassment features, an update for EU users, and more. Here's how to install the iOS 17.5 beta on your iPhone.

Following iOS 17.4, which launched with support for third-party app stores in the EU, iMessage quantum security , new emoji and more, the first beta of iOS 17.5 is available to developers.

For now, the iOS 17.5 beta is a more minor update than recent releases, but does have some user interface. changes to the Books app, iOS Settings, and Podcasts widget may soon include new anti-harassment features and support for online app distribution in the EU.

How to install iOS 17.5 beta – for developers

iOS 17.5 beta 1 is currently available to developers and should be available to public beta testers soon.

  1. A paid Apple developer account takes longer, but you may need to sign in with your Apple ID at developer.apple.com  if you haven't already done so
  2. Create a fresh backup of your iPhone or iPad
  3. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad (running iOS 16.4 or later)
  4. Click General >  Software Update.
  5. Select the Beta Updates 
  6. Now selectiOS 17.5 Developer Beta
  7. If you need to change your Apple ID associated with the beta, you can click on it below
  8. Select Back&nbsp ;When you're done
  9. Find iOS 17.5 Developer Beta , select Download and install

If you don't see the option to enable beta updates or iOS 17.5 appears:

  • Try quitting and relaunching the Settings app.
  • Sign in using your Apple ID , at developer.apple. .com for free, and then repeat the steps above again.
