Apple on what makes the M3 MacBook Air the perfect travel laptop

Last month, Apple released the new MacBook Air M3, offering faster performance, a more durable Midnight finish and other improvements. In a new interview this week, Apple product marketing chief Evan Buys offered an interesting perspective on how Apple is optimizing the MacBook Air for travel, especially on an airplane.

In a conversation with The Points Guy, Bize explained that Apple puts new products through several stages of testing in what they call a “reliability testing lab.”

&# 8220;[It] simulates many different customer interactions,” He said. “[In the lab] they do a lot of different things to make sure that whatever situation you're in, whether it's in your backpack or you're carrying it, everything will meet our reliability standards.

Byze also highlighted the new MacBook Air's connectivity upgrades, including support for Wi-Fi 6E, and how the M3 chip and Apple Silicon allow MacBook Air to be as thin and light as possible.

“How do we get such a thin and light design that fits on a tray?” – asked Bouzier. In response, he explained that “the move to Apple silicon [processor chips]… has really been a game changer because we've really been able to create new designs that we had only dreamed of before.”

Laptops now support Wi-Fi 6E , whose speed is “twice as fast.” with “increased wireless spectrum”; According to Buise. This means that whether you're on a train, an airport or a hotel with a congested network, the new antennas will still be able to connect to the Internet without any problems.
