Apple Arcade Gets New Puyo Puyo Puzzles, Super Monsters Ate My Apartment, and More

Apple today updated its gaming service, Apple Arcade, with a number of new games. The main innovation is Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop, a game from Sega's popular Puyo Puyo series.


In Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop, players collect Puyos of the same color to clear the board and damage opponents. Just like Tetris, Puyo pieces fall from the top of the screen and can be rotated and moved to form matches.

The game has a storyline that needs to be revealed as you complete levels, and there are 24 game characters you can play as. Unlock many of the previous Puyo Puyo games. Different rule sets can be used, including variants from Puyo Puyo 2 and Puyo Puyo Fever, and there is also an endless mode.

There is a single-player mode, but there are also multiplayer battles. Up to four players can join via Game Center.

Super Monsters Ate My Condo, also new today, is a classic iOS game that returns to ‌Apple Arcade‌. The idea is to swipe around the apartment to feed the monsters the apartment, as well as match colors to get better combinations.

The third game is available on ‌Apple Arcade‌ is Sago Mini Trips+, aimed at children.

Later this month, Apple plans to release Crossy Road Castle and Solitaire Stories, which will be available on the Vision Pro headset.

‌Apple Arcade‌ the price is $6.99 per month for up to six people and includes over 200 games.
